Dan: 12:1: And at that time shall
Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of
thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was
since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy
people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the
book.
(The purpose of this article is to make people aware of what God
says in Daniel chapter 12. The first verse tells us that the Jewish
people are in for their worst time of trouble during the end-time
events. I say it?s talking about the end-times because it says that at
that time all those whose name is written in the book will be
delivered. I?m going to use The Amplified Bible as my authority in
filling in the blanks and it says that book is the book of Life. Rev:
20:12, which is talking about the end-times, tells of the Book of Life
being opened--so though this does not prove it, it does suggest that
time frame.
So pleases take note--in the end-times, which I maintain we are
living in right now, the Jews are in for their worst time of
persecution and in the same time frame those whose names are written in
the book of Life will be delivered.)
2-3: And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall
awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting
contempt. 3: And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the
firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for
ever and ever.
(Verse 2 appears to be talking about the time when the book is
opened and agrees with Rev: 20:12. God always quickly assures His
people of good things to come when He has to tell them of bad things
that are going to happen. He does it here. We have Him warning the
Jewish people of a terrible time, but going right on to assure those
who hide and abide in Christ (those written in the book of Life) that
their reward is forth-coming. He also assures the wicked that their
reward is forth-coming.
It says they that are wise shall shine and will turn many to
righteousness. That?s shine as in Isa: 60:1: Arise, shine; for thy
light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.
This ties in with Dan:11:32: And such as do wickedly against the
covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know
their God shall be strong, and do exploits.
Think about this--in the end-times trouble will be mighty, but
God?s people will shine and do exploits and turn many to
righteousness.)
4-7: But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even
to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall
be increased. 5: Then I Daniel looked, and, behold, there stood other
two, the one on this side of the bank of the river, and the other on
that side of the bank of the river. 6: And one said to the man clothed
in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, How long shall it be
to the end of these wonders? 7: And I heard the man clothed in linen,
which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand
and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever
that it shall be for a time, times, and an half; and when he shall have
accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things
shall be finished.
(So we can see by these verses that God was talking about the
end-times. Notice the part about knowledge. I think that is talking
about books, the internet, and even TV. The increase of books has been
tremendous in this day. People have access to all knowledge of good and
evil on the net. TV teaches how things are made, how to cook, how to do
home repairs, etc. These are mighty resources. There?s even a lot of
Christian teaching on TV, the net, and in books, but the report is that
Christians and Jews do not know their God as they ought.
I believe God had that line put in there to further give us a
compass as to the day and the hour that we are living in. All that
knowledge out there and yet God?s people have not learned His ways.
They have not learned what He is teaching in the Bible. Eph:4:13: Till
we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son
of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the
fulness of Christ:
Verse 7 says, three and one half years, that?s how long God?s
people are going to shine, that?s how long the things of this prophesy
will take to be fulfilled and that?s how long before Satan, in the form
of the beast, will crush the power of God?s people.)
8-10: And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my Lord,
what shall be the end of these things? 9: And he said, Go thy way,
Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the
end.10: Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the
wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but
the wise shall understand.
(You see, the devil?s plan is to crush the holy people and rule the
world through the New World Order, but God?s purpose is to purify the
saints.)
11-13: And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken
away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a
thousand two hundred and ninety days. 12: Blessed is he that waiteth,
and cometh to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days. 13:
But go thou thy way till the end be: for thou shalt rest, and stand in
thy lot at the end of the days.
(That is dooms day--when Satan through the global community forbids
people to mention Jesus or to take communion, or to display a
cross--why would he do that? Because he (the devil) preaches that all
roads lead to God. And he preaches a social gospel. He usurps the place
of authority that the Bible should have and he even finally sits in the
temple and reveals himself to be God in the flesh.
The difference between three and one half years and this thousand
three hundred and five and thirty days is forty-five days. Those who
are on the earth at that time will have to endure forty-five days of
the anti-Christ ruling the earth sovereignly. God have mercy upon them.
The forty-five days could be the length of time that laspes after the
lawless one takes power and the Jewish people recognize their Savior
and say, ?Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord.?
This all comes about because God?s people are not doing what He
said--watch. Matt: 25:10-13: And while they went to buy, the bridegroom
came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and
the door was shut. 11: Afterward came also the other virgins, saying,
Lord, Lord, open to us. 12: But he answered and said, Verily I say unto
you, I know you not. 13: WATCH (Amplified Bibles says that watch means:
give strict attention and be cautious and active) therefore, for ye
know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.
If you are watching, you will see that the enemy is stealthily creeping up and he is about ready to pounce.)

The apostle saw in the hand of Him
that sat upon the throne, a roll of parchments in the form usual in
those times, and sealed with seven seals. This represented the secret
purposes of God about to be revealed. The designs and methods of Divine
Providence, toward the church and the world, are stated, fixed, and
made a matter of record. The counsels of God are altogether hidden from
the eye and understanding of the creature. The several parts are not
unsealed and opened at once, but after each other, till the whole
mystery of God's counsel and conduct is finished in the world.
(Rev 5:1 KJV) And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the
throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven
seals.
Hitherto the apostle had seen only the great God, the governor of
all things, now, he is favored with a sight of the model and methods of
his government, as they are all written down in a book which he holds
in his hand; and this we are now to consider as shut up and sealed in
the hand of God. Observe the designs and methods of divine Providence
towards the church and the world are stated and fixed; they are
resolved upon and agreed to, as that which is written in a book. The
great design is laid, every part adjusted, all determined, and every
thing passed into decree and made a matter of record. The original and
first draught of this book is the book of God's decrees, laid up in his
own cabinet, in his eternal mind: but there is a transcript of so much
as was necessary to be known in the book of the scriptures in general,
in the prophetical part of the scripture especially, and in this
prophecy in particular. God holds this book in his right hand, to
declare the authority of the book, and his readiness and resolution to
execute all the contents thereof, all the counsels and purposes therein
recorded.
(Rev 5:1 KJV) And I saw on the right hand of him that sat on the throne,....
Of this throne, and who it was that sat upon it;
(Rev 4:2 KJV) and one sat on the throne;
not the trinity of persons in the Godhead, which some think are signified by the three precious stones in Rev_4:3,
(Rev 4:3 KJV) And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a
sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight
like unto an emerald.
the jasper, sardine, and emerald; for, as distinct from him that
sat upon the throne, the Lamb is said to be in the midst of it, and the
seven spirits of God are said to be before it: nor is Jesus Christ
intended, and his two natures; his divine nature by the jasper, and his
human nature by the red and blood colored sardine; since he, the Lamb,
is represented as in the midst of the throne, and is often
distinguished from him that sat upon it;
(Rev 5:6 KJV) And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and
of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it
had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven
Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.
but God the Father is designed, who sits on the throne, though not
to the exclusion of the Son and Spirit, yet in distinction from them.
This clause is left out in the Ethiopic version.
And who had "in" his right hand, or "at", or "upon" his right hand,
as the Syriac and Arabic versions render it, lying by, or near his
right hand; though according to,
(Rev 5:7 KJV) And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne.
the book appears to have been in his right hand, as our version, and others render it:
This book in the hand of God is shut up and sealed; it is known to
none but himself, till he allows it to be opened. Known unto God, and
to him alone, are all his works, from the beginning of the world; but
it is his glory to conceal the matter as he pleases. The times and
seasons, and their great events, he hath kept in his own hand and
power. It is sealed with seven seals.
(Rev 5:1 KJV) a book written within, and on the backside, sealed with seven seals:
This book was very much like Ezekiel's roll,
(Eze 2:9 KJV) And when I looked, behold, an hand was sent unto me; and, lo, a roll of a book was therein;
which was written ???? ?????, "within" and "without", before and
behind, and indeed it was in the form of a roll: the manner of writings
in those times was on sheets of parchment, which, when finished, were
rolled up in the form of a cylinder; hence a book is called a "volume".
This book seems to have consisted of seven rolls, to which was annexed
seven seals; and there being not room enough within, contrary to the
common way of writing, some things were written upon the backside of
the outermost roll; and such writings were by the ancients called
"Opistographi": and the word is used by them sometimes for very prolix
writings.
By this book some understand the Scriptures of the Old Testament, which were written in rolls;
(Heb 10:5 KJV) Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith,
Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared
me:
and which came out of the right hand of God, and were given forth
by him; and being written within, and on the backside, may denote the
fullness of them, they containing a variety of matter, useful and
profitable, for different purposes; or else the literal and mystical,
or spiritual meaning of some parts of them: or, as others think, the
more clear explanation of the books of the Old Testament, by those of
the New Testament; and its being sealed may signify the authenticity of
those writings, having the seal of God's truth, and the impress of his
wisdom, power, and goodness on them; and also the hidden sense and
meaning of them, they being, especially in the prophetic and spiritual
part of them, a sealed book to natural men, and of which Christ is the
truest and best interpreter; but then this book was opened, and looked
into, and read, and, in some measure, understood, even by the Old
Testament saints, and had been before this time expounded by Christ,
concerning himself; yea, he had opened the understandings of his
disciples to understand those Scriptures, and had counted them, and
others, worthy to open and explain this book to others, and had sent
them into all the world for this purpose; and for the same reasons it
cannot be understood of the Gospel published to Jews and Gentiles, the
one within, and the other without; rather therefore the book of God's
decrees is here meant, which respects all creatures, and all
occurrences and events in the whole world, from the beginning to the
end of time; and so Ezekiel's roll, according to the Targum;
(Eze 2:10 KJV) And he spread it before me; and it was written
within and without: and there was written therein lamentations, and
mourning, and woe.
which was written before and behind, signified that which was ??
?????, "from the beginning", and which ????? ????? ?????, "shall be in
the end", or hereafter. This book God holds "in his right hand", as the
rule and measure of all he does, and of the government of the world,
and which he constantly fulfils and executes; and its being written
"within and without" may denote the perfection and comprehensiveness of
it, it reaching to all creatures and things, even the most minute; and
its being "sealed" shows the certainty of its fulfillment, and the
secrecy and hiddenness of it, until accomplished; though it seems best
of all to understand it of that part of God's decrees relating to the
church and world, particularly the Roman empire, which from
henceforward, to the end of time, was to be fulfilled; and so is no
other than the book of the Revelation itself, exhibited in the
following scenes and visions; and this may be truly said to be in the
right hand of God, and from thence taken by the Lamb, it being the
revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, Rev_1:1;
(Rev 1:1 KJV) The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto
him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass;
and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:
and may be said to be written, both "within and on the backside",
to show that it contains a large account of things, a long train of
events to be accomplished; as also to signify, that it regards the
church, and the members of it, who are those that are within, in the
several ages of time, and the world, or those that are without; for
this book prophecy regards both the state of the Roman empire, and of
the Christian church; and its being "sealed" shows the authenticity,
certainty, and also the obscurity of what was contained therein; and
with "seven" seals, with respect to the seven periods of time, in which
the prophecies in it are to be fulfilled.
This tells us with what inscrutable secrecy the counsels of God are
laid, how impenetrable by the eye and intellect of the creature; and
also points us to seven several parts of this book of God's counsels.
Each part seems to have its particular seal, and, when opened,
discovers its proper events; these seven parts are not unsealed and
opened at once, but successively, one scene of Providence introducing
another, and explaining it, till the whole mystery of God's counsel and
conduct be finished in the world.

Article From Christian Articles |
This article is not going to help
a reader with their biblical doctrines or with their lifestyle. This
article is for those who want to understand the Bible prophesies for
the last days, especially Revelation.
Rev:1-2: And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I
heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying,
Come and see. 2: And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat
on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth
conquering, and to conquer.
(I know that most Bible scholars, maybe all of them, believe that
these horses all appear during the end-time events, but I do not
believe that. I am not a Bible scholar, but I have been a ?born again?
Christian for 48 years. I have intensely studied the Bible for 30 yrs.,
and I was a serious seeker before that.
I believe the white horse, rider, and bow represents Christianity
going forth throughout the earth. I believe that the four horses
represent a sequence of overlapping events that lead up to the
end-times revealed in Revelation.
The scalars say that the white horse with the bow is Satan going
forth to conquer. In my mind, this cannot be because Jesus is portrayed
in Rev:19:11 as riding on a white horse and the Bible, especially
Revelation portrays white, as in white linen, as standing for the
righteous acts of the saints or for purity as the white wedding gown
used to convey. I do not find any grounds to think that the Bible would
portray Satan on a white horse unless it was worded so one knew it was
a trick.
For example, 2Cor:11:13-14: For such are false apostles, deceitful
workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. 14: And
no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
[The words transforming and transform let us know that it is a deceit.]
In 1Pet:5:8: Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the
devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
[This text says he goes about as one, that let?s us know he is not a
lion, such as Jesus is the lion of the tribe of Judah--that means He is
the righteous ruler who is noble, fearless, and majestic--but the
passage means that Satan sneaks up on, attacks, and tears his prey as a
lion does.]
My point is that the Bible wording always lets you know whether the
portrayal is true or false and here in Revelation there is no
indication that this horse and rider are from the dark world, nor that
it is a deceitful appearance.
I believe the white horse, rider and bow talk about the last two
thousand years of spreading the gospel--the truth going forth to
conquer.)
3-4: And when he had opened the second seal, I heard the second
beast say, Come and see. 4: And there went out another horse that was
red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the
earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto
him a great sword.
(This horse represents war and it comes after the white horse
because it is the result of the conflict between good and evil, true
and false, and right and wrong. The enemy uses a great sword called
deceit or lies to incite men to rebellion, hatred, fear, and distrust,
the end result being war.)
5-6: And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast
say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat
on him had a pair of balances in his hand. 6: And I heard a voice in
the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and
three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and
the wine.
(This horse represents poverty and starvation the result of war,
sin, selfishness, and religion. Satan finds opportunity to bring this
about through man?s desire to believe the lie rather than the truth so
they can live unrighteously.) See 2Thess:2:9-12: Even him, whose coming
is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying
wonders, 10: And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them
that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they
might be saved. 11: And for this cause God shall send them strong
delusion, that they should believe a lie: 12: That they all might be
damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
7-8: And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of
the fourth beast say, Come and see. 8: And I looked, and behold a pale
horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with
him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth,
to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the
beasts of the earth.
(This horse represents the inevitable result of the earth?s
rebellion against God and their rejection of His Son, the Savior that
He has provided to save mankind--the wrath.)
Rev:14:6-10: And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven,
having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the
earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, 7:
Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour
of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth,
and the sea, and the fountains of waters. 8: And there followed another
angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because
she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.
9: And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any
man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his
forehead, or in his hand, 10: The same shall drink of the wine of the
wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his
indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the
presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:
